IMPACT welcomed its inaugural class of interns during the Summer of 2009. These dynamic young professionals and students are committed to making a difference in their communities and throughout the world.

In addition to working on projects developed by IMPACT Directors, interns are empowered to and supported in pursuing independent projects related to IMPACT’s core principles: Economic Empowerment,Political Involvement, and Civic Engagement.

IMPACT’s Interns not only help execute the mission of IMPACT, but are granted additional professional development opportunities including:

  • Exposure to executives in community development, business, media, politics and policy;
  • Access to high ranking elected officials and policy advisors;
  • Help sourcing a mentor in the intern’s career or field of interest;
  • Opportunities to participate in national conferences
