Emerging Leaders: The Evolution of Politics and Empowerment Town Hall Forum

The Evolution of Politics and Empowerment, an Emerging Leaders Town Hall event, will be held on Thursday September 27, 2007 at 10 AM.  Emerging leaders from across the nation will gather to identify the challenges facing our communities and begin working towards meaningful solutions.   Recognizing the importance of the 2008 elections, our conversation will be anchored by the importance of electing agents of change who are capable and willing to engage in the work required to advance the agenda of emerging leaders.     Critical issues, questions, and proposals raised at the forum will be used to inform future Presidential debates coordinated by the Congressional Black Caucus Political Education and Leadership Institute where Representative Bennie G. Thompson is Chairman.  The event is hosted by Thompson and co-hosted by Representatives Towns, Watt, Jackson Jr., Ellison, and Richardson.  Special guests include author, Michael Eric Dyson; BET host, Jeff Johnson; Rev. Tony Lee; actress, Tasha Smith; and a host of other celebrities, political leaders, and emerging leaders.
