
At only twenty-six years of age, Stefanie L. Brown has dedicated her life to empowering young people of color to organize and advocate for justice and equality in their communities. Since March of 2006, Stefanie has served as the National Director of the NAACP Youth and College Division in Baltimore, Maryland. In this position, Stefanie is charged with developing and administering the youth program of the Association for more than 400 youth units representing over 30,000 young people across the country. Previously, Stefanie worked as the NAACP National Youth Council Coordinator; National Outreach Coordinator for Global Justice, Inc. in Washington, DC; and Program Coordinator of the Stopping AIDS is My Mission Program in Cleveland, Ohio. Graduating from Howard University in 2004, Stefanie majored in Business Management and served as president of the Howard University Student Association during her junior year. A native of Bedford Heights, Ohio, Stefanie is the President and CEO of SL.Brown Enterprise, founder of the Harvey & Delores Brown Scholarship Fund and a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. In addition, Stefanie was recently recognized as one of Ebony Magazine’s 2007 “Top 30 Young Leaders under the Age of 30″.
